We’re a locally owned and operated restaurant that has been serving French cuisine in the Kitsilano area since 2016. We re-opened under the new business name Lavidas in June of 2023. We focus on contemporary comfort built on a foundation of classic techniques and procedures. Our menus are driven by local ingredients and cultural influences with fresh modern styling and molecular techniques.

We continue to serve a few of our favourites from our previous menu along with some new dishes inspired by PNW ingredients.

Chef Jennifer Wu earned her bachelors degree at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and apprenticed at a Relais & Châteaux restaurant in Montreal. They bring their passion for cooking and providing an outstanding experience back home to Vancouver.

We are a diverse and inclusive workplace that supports and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and diversity in the workforce. We have two gender-neutral bathrooms and are also wheelchair accessible.
